Why we exist
Quran technology repeats itself. The same hard problems, reliable text, audio timing, phonetics, alignment, get solved again in every project, at varying quality, with scattered files and incompatible schemas.
Effort that could go into something new goes into rebuilding the base.
QUD builds that base once, to the highest standard, and keeps it maintained and easy to reach. Builders start from finished foundations and spend their effort on what is new.

From one need to shared foundations
The projects grew from the needs of one another. A phonetic layer was built to align recitations; the aligner was built to time a catalog; the catalog needed a single model of the text. Each became a foundation the others build on.
QUD is the ecosystem that keeps them together, open to any project that needs the same base.
