The problem, solved once

Text and its coordinates need to agree across editions and riwayat. Today they live in scattered files with incompatible conventions for orthography, Unicode, and page layout.

Universal Data brings these sources into one model. Each edition keeps its original form; applications refer to the same text through one schema.

It is in alpha. The lab prototype explores how riwayat, source editions, orthographies, and font layouts project onto one another before a production schema is fixed.

What you get

  • Text across riwayat and source editions
  • Orthography, Unicode conventions, and font layouts
  • One compact, versioned model
